FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

You’ve all had lots of questions to ask since we shared news of our unique veterinary practice, so we thought we would include the most popular ones here for you to read. If you have a query which isn’t covered here please do get in touch with us.

1️⃣ What does the £35.00 WOOF package include?

This is our Standard package for dogs and includes access to all preventative, routine, emergency and ongoing care for any health condition. You can read more information here: https://www.perfectpetclub.co.uk/woof-club

2️⃣ What happens if my pet falls ill overnight?

Our centre is open 24/7 so if your pet is to fall ill “out of hours” simply get in touch with us and one of our clinicians will advise what to do next. We provide a pet taxi for emergencies, so if you are unable to drive to us please say so at the time of your call.

3️⃣ Does your practice provide treatment for all health conditions?

We are fully equipped to deal with any health condition, but our team of permanent vets are not specialists in orthopedic, soft tissue or cardiac surgery. Therefore we bring in external specialists to perform such surgeries, at no additional cost to the member.

4️⃣ What if my pet needs x-rays, an MRI or CT scan?

We will soon have a full x-ray suite permanently on site. For MRI and CT scans, we have organised a visiting facility to attend (schedule TBC). If your pet needs to use this service, the cost would be included in your membership package. If your pet needs urgent diagnostics when this service is not on site, we would refer your pet to a specialist centre, again at no additional cost to yourself.

5️⃣ My dog has a pre-existing condition. Can he still join?

Yes! We have no age, breed or pre-existing condition exclusions, though please note if you have visited an external veterinarian and been advised that your pet is likely to need or has already been referred for specialist treatment prior to your joining date, we will not be held financially responsible for costs relating to this.

6️⃣ I have guinea pigs and notice you don’t have a package for those?

Because there are few statistics on veterinary care for small animals, it has been difficult to determine a fair price for a membership package for them. Instead we will offer cost price veterinary care for all types of small domestic (and farm) animal from January 2025.

7️⃣ Do you offer services for breeders?

With the exception of puppy health checks, vaccinations and microchips, we do not support costs relating to breeding.

8️⃣ Can I come to look around?

Drop in sessions are advertised on our Facebook page. Please email us to arrange a visit outside of these sessions, though bear in mind we cannot show you around our veterinary care, diagnostic rooms or surgeries; for your safety, patient well-being and the statutory requirement to keep all areas clean and hygienic at all times.

9️⃣ Why do you have an exemption period upon joining, and a joining fee?

To avoid being in a situation where we are overwhelmed with unvaccinated, intact or poorly patients who have needed to see a vet for some time; in the worse case scenario these owners may never pay (or continue to pay) their monthly membership fee once the initial diagnosis and treatment has been carried out.

🔟 This all sounds too good to be true!

A lot of you have said that this all sounds too good to be true so we thought we would make our “method to the madness” clear; or as Shakespeare once said, “Though this be madness, yet there is method in’t” - and yes I just looked the origin of that phrase up. The phrase “To be, or not to be, that is the question” was of equal importance when I spent years working towards the launch of this venture. I decided it was, to be.

Some Facts & Figures:

  • We have no building overheads which saves us thousands of pounds a month over other practices.

  • 8% of your pets will need serious treatment or surgeries each year.

  • 40% of your pets will need minor treatment or surgeries, which is little above the cost of labour for us

  • 60% of your pets will need routine dentistry, which again is little over the cost of labour and is also only included in the £50 premier membership package as we offer an annual teeth clean under sedation with this, meaning that the chances of your pet developing extreme dental problems are significantly reduced!

  • Our largest and most important expenses are our team, the salaries for which currently amount to £35,000 per month. So as long as we have at least 850 members (which is less than 0.4% of the pets who reside in our surrounding areas) this cost is covered.

  • Our second biggest expense is medication, which is why this is only included in our premier package. Half of our patients are premier members which covers our average monthly medication bill.

  • We are a non profit, independent veterinary practice.

  • Vets and nurses are getting in touch with us daily because they want to work here and not for corporates!

  • Our team is knowledgeable, experienced and pretty friendly too!

  • The place isn’t bad either 😉

Anything above 850 members is a bonus and goes towards better equipment, facilities and… the opening of more centres!

Also, because preventative treatment is inclusive over time your pets will become healthier, eventually reducing our costs further and helping them to live even longer and happier lives!

Now you have some insight into how we operate, hopefully more of you will join us so we can go on to equip our practice with everything we need to be granted full animal hospital status in the new year and heavily reduce our outgoings for any necessary referral surgeries.

It may seem too good to be true, but this opportunity is real and it’s happening now. Don’t wait another month or two before registering as we guarantee you will miss out! Being a small venue we have a strict limit with the number of patients we can take on and are already nearly halfway there!

We have launched a new era for veterinary care, aiming to reduce the financial burden for pet owners and to improve animal welfare standards in the UK. Be a part of the best thing to launch in the pet industry, ever! 🤩

(Now here is the really cheesy part) Don’t be like Bob and pay through the nose. Join Perfect Pet Club today and get booked in to meet us! 💜

As our veterinary services are provided by a non-profit organisation, we also welcome donations, partnerships and sponsorships. Please get in touch if you would like to help us achieve our goals: hello@animalmagicfamily.co.uk
