THE GREAT BRITISH
ADVENT APPEAL 2024
We have a goal of helping at least 100,000 people have a Happier Christmas this year.
November is the time of year when we start to get excited about the festive season. But for a lot of us,
anxiety and sadness kicks in. Those who can't afford to buy food, presents or decorations,
those who can't see or have lost loved ones, the homeless, lonely, ill, and those struggling
with physical and mental pressures.

We want to help as many people as we can by granting wishes, supplying food, presents,
donations, company and understanding for those who are most in need.

So, we are running 4 campaigns which with your help will be absolutely amazing!
Money worries are one of the top reasons for us not looking forward to Christmas.
If you are struggling with debt and the cost of living crisis, we can help you with professional advice and solutions.

If you are already worrying about Christmas and know that there is something which will make all the difference, please tell us! On 1st November we will publish a list on our social media of all of the wishes which have been made and make a public appeal to help us fulfil them for you. There is no age limit and wishes can be for anything physically achievable. The deadline for making wishes is 30th November 2024.

If you would like to make a wish come true for somebody, please read through the list when it is published and get in touch with us to discuss your pledge. The deadline for fulfilling wishes is 15th December 2024.

We will be putting up a Wish Tree at our venue in November where all wishes will be written on tags and hung on its branches!
We will be delivering Christmas Hampers to people in need on the 23rd and 24th December. We welcome donations for non-perishable food and drink, table decorations, toiletries, clothing, baby and pet food specifically for the festive period from 1st December. We will purchase perishable goods ourselves shortly ahead of or on distribution day.

In addition to this we are hosting a Festive Feast at our venue to combat loneliness on Christmas Day. If you know a person who would love to attend, please let us know so we can send them an official invitation. Please also get in touch if you would like to volunteer to help with the event or make a monetary donation towards its planning and fulfilment.
Beyond our Advent Appeal, our aim is to help thousands of people improve their lives each year. To enable us to do that, we need to
raise as much money as possible for our "Stop the Torment" and "Smile" Support Funds.
So, we are holding the UK's first virtual Advent Auction! From 1st to 24th December we will auction off one item daily. Remember to follow our social media so you can watch the auction LIVE and bid for some fabulous items!
